New York City Football Club is an American professional soccer club, based in New York City, that competes in Major League Soccer (MLS), the highest level of professional soccer in the U.S. NYCFC played its first game in 2015, as the twentieth overall expansion team of the league. In the 2019 season, NYFC finished at the top of the Eastern Conference, securing a place in the 2020 Concacaf Champions League for the first time in its history. The Club features well-known international players including Argentine Maxi Moralez, Brazilian Héber and Romanian forward Alexandru Mitriță.
